2007 Air Service Recap
Air service development plays a pivotal role in helping accommodate passengers at Huntsville International Airport, and 2007 proved to be a year of tremendous growth with the introduction of two new carriers and non-stop service to five destinations. In February 2007, Huntsville welcomed United Airlines and the inauguration of non-stop service to Denver. United Airline’s Washington D.C. (Dulles) service initiated in April. Weekday non-stop service to New York’s LaGuardia airport began in September with Delta Air Lines.
Huntsville International Airport’s newest carrier, Allegiant Air, introduced low-fare, non-stop service to Orlando in November followed by additional service to the sunshine state with the implementation of non-stop Fort Lauderdale service in December. Huntsville International continues to actively pursue additional non-stop destinations and additional low-fare service to accommodate our expanding community.
