HSV Celebrates Past 40 Years of Service

Huntsville International Airport recently marked the past 40 years of service with an anniversary celebration at Global Fest 2007. The event drew more than 300 attendees, honoring former and current board members as well as the families of former city and county officials that played an instrumental role in the development of the airport.

The evening culminated with a special video production chronicling the airport's entire history. As a keepsake, honorees and their families were provided with a pen and ink sketch of the airport, which was commissioned by local artist, Lee Harless. The honorees are as follows:
