New Non-stop New York Service
Delta Air Lines will introduce weekday non-stop roundtrip service between New York’s LaGuardia Airport and Huntsville, Ala., beginning September 6. Flights will depart Huntsville at 6:45 a.m. and arrive in New York at 10:02 a.m. Return service will depart LaGuardia at 9:00 p.m. and arrive in Huntsville at 10:41 p.m. Monday - Friday.
"This new service will be Huntsville’s only non-stop flight to the New York area and a much-needed route for our community," said Jeff Sikes, Chairman, Board of Directors, Huntsville International Airport. "We are pleased to link our community to one of the nation’s premier business and leisure destinations. New York is one of Huntsville International’s top 20 markets, so we anticipate this service to be very well received."
According to Joe Esposito, Managing Director of Schedule Planning, Delta Air Lines, "Delta customers continue to ask for more non-stop flights to the places they work and play, and we are pleased to add New York City – the world's leading business destination – to the list of non-stop destinations we offer each weekday from Huntsville. Delta's new Huntsville-to-LaGuardia flights will provide significant value to the business traveler, allowing customers to leave Huntsville in the morning, do business in New York, and return the same night."
Delta Air Lines currently offers non-stop flights between Huntsville and Atlanta, Cincinnati, Orlando, and Washington D.C. (National).
