New Non-stop Las Vegas Service
Huntsville International Airport's new low-fare carrier, Allegiant Air, will begin non-sop service between Las Vegas and Huntsville beginning September 21. The new flights will operate twice weekly with service Monday and Friday. To kick off the new service, the Las Vegas-based, low-fare airline is offering limited introductory fares as low as $89* one-way.
The carrier will utilize a full-size, 150-seat MD-80 jet aircraft on the route. The airline said its market research and input from local community leaders indicate that the Huntsville community will welcome the new non-stop flights and low fares to Las Vegas as an alternative to connecting flights or long drives to other airports.
"We are extremely pleased to expand the Allegiant brand of low-fare, non-stop jet service within the Huntsville community and Tennessee Valley region," said Maurice J. Gallagher, Allegiant Air President & CEO. "This is an exciting new addition for our airline and our customers as we launch the only full-size jet service between Huntsville and Las Vegas."
According to Jeff Sikes, Chairman, Board of Directors, Huntsville International Airport, "This is an exciting day for Huntsville International Airport and the Tennessee Valley region. The addition of Allegiant Air and the non-stop service to Las Vegas fills a void in our community for low-fare service and expands our total number of non-stop destinations to 14. We look forward to growing our new partnership with Allegiant and adding more destinations."
Through its Allegiant Vacations program, the company also offers complete air and hotel vacation packages to Las Vegas for as low as $274* per person for four-nights, roundtrip (based on double occupancy, stay at the Plaza Hotel & Casino, and a Monday arrival/Friday departure). Allegiant Vacations offers low-cost packages with more than 40 of Las Vegas' most exciting hotel properties.
Allegiant's $89* one-way introductory fare is limited, must be purchased by August 18, 2007, and is valid for travel through February 10, 2008. Introductory fares are not available on all flights. After the introductory fare period, regular one-way fares on the route start as low as $99 one-way.
Reservations can be made on the airline's web site at www.allegiantair.com, through the airline's Reservations and Information Center at 1-702-505-8888, or through professional travel agents.
*Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights. All fares are one-way and are non-refundable. Fares do not include PFC, segment tax, or September 11 security fee of up to $10.40 per segment. Travel purchased through Allegiant Air call centers will cost an additional $5.00 per segment. A checked baggage fee will apply per bag, per segment. A segment is defined as one take-off and one landing. Fare rules, routes, and schedules are subject to change without notice.
