HSV First Airport to Offer Gevalia

Huntsville International Airport has opened a new Gevalia® kiosk and is pleased to be the first airport to offer Gevalia in a retail capacity. Built on a European tradition of fine craftsmanship encompassing more than 140 years, Gevalia offers more than 30 varieties of gourmet coffee and 13 varieties of specialty tea. This wide selection allows Gevalia to suit the various personal tastes, moods, and desires of even the world's most discriminating coffee and tea lovers.

“We are excited to welcome Gevalia as our newest concessions vendor,” said Barbie Peek, Director of Marketing, Huntsville International Airport. “Gevalia has built a reputation of only the highest-quality gourmet coffees, and we are delighted to offer our passengers this new selection. You can’t beat the aroma of fresh-brewed, gourmet coffee through the airport – not to mention the convenience of having it on site.”

Huntsville International Airport is currently undergoing a $60+ million dollar expansion and renovation project, including the expansion of concessions, which will encompass 6,000 square feet and boast a number of new vendors and an expanded seating area – all under the management of Air Host, Inc., a Memphis-based airport food and beverage concession business.

Adjacent to the concessions area will be an upscale, full-service bar with grab-and-go food and beverage selections. Concession construction is scheduled for completion by the end of this year – at which time the Gevalia operation will move into its permanent location. The end result of not only the expanded concessions area, but also the renovation of the entire facility will ensure Huntsville International Airport continues to meet the needs of and provide a positive experience for its travelers for years to come.
